Scarecrow Contest

Our scarecrow contest is now open! The deadline to enter will be Sept.14, 2026, or as soon as we have 25 entries! This contest is limited to the first 25 entries.

$20 Entry Fee

Winners will be announced on November 3, 2026. Participants do not need to be present to win!

Prizes

  • First Place: $200
  • Second Place: $150
  • Third Place: $100
Judging

The scarecrows will be lined up along the hayride route and
guests will cast ballots handed out on the ride.

Restrictions

Fantozzi Farms has the right to refuse scarecrow entries that are not deemed acceptable for viewing by all age groups.

Delivery, Set up, and Removal of Entries

All entrants must set up their own scarecrows on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, between 9 am and 5 pm. Fantozzi Farms will place a 5 ft. metal post in the ground for attaching the scarecrow. The entrant MUST provide a method for attaching the scarecrow to the post. We recommend using a 2 inch diameter PVC pipe placed through the center of the scarecrow body. All entries must be picked up between Nov.2-Nov.7, 2026. If scarecrows are not picked up, they may be thrown away.

Materials

All scarecrow entries will remain outdoors until Nov.1, 2026 and may be subject to severe rain, wind, or weather. Please keep this in mind when building your scarecrow.

Each entrant shall be responsible for picking up any items from their displays they wish to keep at the designated pick-up time. It is understood that Fantozzi Farms may use photographs of, stories about, and the actual scarecrow entries themselves as well as all information contained on this entry form for publicity and promotion of the event. Employees of Fantozzi Farms and their families, affiliates, vendors, or advertising representatives are not eligible to compete in this contest. Fantozzi Farms reserves the right to deny exhibition privileges to any entry considered to be offensive in regard to race, sex, politics, or religion.
